How does the service work?
This service provides consultant-led dermatology advice for non-urgent skin concerns at our clinic in 4 Sean Mulvoy road, Galway City, H91 EN26.
If you are eligible, you’ll be taken to our booking system where you can choose a convenient appointment time for your teledermatology imaging appointment. Once your appointment is booked, you will be directed to complete the €199 payment to confirm your booking.
You’ll receive your clinical report within 72 hours of attending your appointment. Our clinical team will be available to help you understand your results and guide you through any recommended next steps.
About the service
We launched our new Medical Dermatology service to make it faster and easier to get help for skin conditions—especially if you’re waiting to see a consultant dermatologist or prefer self‑pay access.
Our clinic is based in Galway, serving patients from Sligo, Roscommon, Mayo, Donegal, Clare, Limerick, and Leitrim with convenient appointments and clear pricing.
Who this service is for:
- Adults (over 18 years of age) with rashes, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, or chronic itching
- People with moles, lesions, or sun‑damaged skin who want a rapid review
- Patients who’ve been waiting to see a dermatologist and want quicker access
- Anyone seeking private, self‑pay dermatology care with a clear pathway and reliable follow‑up
What happens after I make a booking?
Once you’ve confirmed the date and time of your appointment, you will be redirected to Stripe where you will make the payment for your appointment. A booking confirmation will be sent to you.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. We accept self‑pay self‑referrals. We can share a summary with your GP if you wish.
How quickly will I get results from Phase 1?
Usually within 72 hours after the consultant review. If urgent, we’ll call you sooner.
Will I definitely need Phase 2?
Not always. Many patients can be managed from Phase 1 with a prescription plan and advice. If a procedure or full exam is needed, we’ll bring you in promptly.
Is this service suitable for children?
No, currently we can only facilitate patients 16 years old and over. We will launch a paediatric service soon.
What if a lesion looks suspicious?
We prioritise these cases for urgent in‑person review and arrange appropriate escalation if required.
What do I bring to my appointment?
- Current medications and prior treatments tried
- GP referral (optional) — self‑referrals accepted
- List of allergies and key medical history
- Photos of flare‑ups if your symptoms are intermittent
